An expert and expert Organization is obliged to give a site that will assist you in changing your site to keep up and improve on what the web indexes envision it should be. 1) Buy A Website Name 2) Publish On Social Networks 3) Add Styles 4) Add At Meta Descriptions, title tag, anchor text, and high quality meta tags 5) Build Backlinks 2. Commit (read) a long time of involvement in Web optimization 3. Take My Money! If you have a significant amount of traffic, and/or thousands of visits each month, I'm pretty sure Google will automatically index your page, regardless of its URL. As for the rest, here are a few points to consider: A user can report a page that is spam, or does not work for them. Google can then remove that page from its index, and other search engines might as well. Perhaps more importantly, the URL is not shown in most clients, so SEO is hard to do unless you are: Aware of your URL. Carefully monitoring analytics data (if you're using Google Analytics) to look for your pages, and easily noticed a new entry Lucky enough to be seen. This is why so many companies use just the H1 or H2 HTML tag (but no H1 tags or even meta title attribute, for obvious reasons). They can see them, and since they're linked in your H1 or H2, they don't need to wait until someone else clicks on them, but they're still on the page for eternity. EDIT: You don't have to worry about page age. If you can show a fresh, random image, that's ideal. Ideally, you'll be able to crawl content as you write it and do this in such a way that any new pages are updated at the same time as the old pages are updated (so you don't have a sudden gap in old content). That's probably the best and most robust way to do it, but it does mean keeping your data (especially images) separate from your content. You can tell Google to penalize links to removed pages (page=parameters), but unless your pages are deleted (which would mean they weren't working), that's unlikely to be a concern, unless you have a significant number of pages. Some suggestions: Facebook LinkedIn Twitter Ask your clients to like your site. Ask your clients to link to your site Ask everyone you can to give you one backlink. While it's not SEO (in a literal sense), the "People linking to me" pages can help you. Have fun! An easy way to find the most popular blogs is to perform a Google search on a keyword relevant to your topic. For example, if you want to learn how to design a website, you may search the term web design blogs to find websites that are highly ranked in search engines. This will give you an idea of which sites are viewed by most internet users, so you should give those sites a try to get your content out in front of the internet. Once you've done that, then it's time to start promoting your site.

- What would you say...
What would you say to Abraham Lincoln if you had to explain the Internet to him? When introducing a fundamental digital notion (such as “do you know what email is?”) to a man who wasn't born in the mid-1800s, hadn't been living in a cave, and boasted about how much “marketing” expertise he has, that was the only parallel I could think of. Cue eye roll. You can imagine my surprise when the world wide web and the words search results turned his smile into a quizzical, huh? When I Googled “how do you explain a marketing plan to Abe Lincoln 2021”, "web pages generational gap", "2021 vs 1860 marketing strategy", and, there were memes, jokes, and stand-up comedy routines based on that exact question. When it comes to marketing, Abe Lincoln was a man ahead of his time. He's one of the few people in history to have successfully campaigned for public office under his name without any previous political experience. Lincoln was the leader our country needed in the 1860s. He was open to new ideas, progressive, and forward-thinking. His dreams and visions for the future of our country changed the landscape forever. Surprisingly, he is also an excellent analogy for what businesses face today as they try to wade through all that is happening in internet services, digital marketing, and basic marketing research. You're probably familiar with Abraham Lincoln's claim to fame: he's the president who led the Union through the Civil War, kept Congress from breaking up the nation, and freed the slaves. But do you know Lincoln's stance on the invention of the steamboat? Or his thoughts about tariffs? Or: Does Lincoln have anything to teach modern-day business owners about leaving Fear behind and embracing the "new normal"? I'm not sure where you live, but if it's in the United States of America, I guess that men who look like Abe Lincoln (body type excluded) are still making business decisions with the bravery of Simba. And if you’re in the 30% not led by white old men, give yourself a pat on the back. Back to the star of this show. Lincoln spent most of his working life as a traveling salesman selling cheese, hats, and other sundries until his dad decided to make him a lawyer. Even a traveling salesman understands that search engine optimization SEO is how to communicate with potential clients. For the sake of argument, if 90% of America is accepting one type of currency, making collecting payment i.e. online payments and SOP why not put your hands up and roll with it. Here we step back in time, not accepting online payments in 2021 is corporate suicide. And, these ladies and gentlemen are the fear-filled leaders of today. These cowboys don’t even know what WiFi is, let alone how to unite a nation. When I hear “do we really need a freelancer” to design our social media marketing, search engine optimization, or online product services; what century is this? Lincoln would have not only jumped on the opportunity to collect money a decade ago (that’s an educated guess (traveling salesman was a clue), would have understood the concept of marketing today whether he’d been introduced to the hardware or not. A simple comparison of a sign in a store window and a landing page; your website is the first impression you can make with a potential client. When it comes to an understanding of social media, online marketing, and SEO, Abe Lincoln would have been just as lost as any of us in the 21st century. And as we've done here at Putnam Marketing for years, let's use Abe Lincoln to illustrate what those terms mean then and now. When you go to a website through a web browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc., the computers send each other messages through an application called "HTTP," and the message says "listen to this website." So, regardless of what someone is using to access the internet, they all send and receive information. When you click on a browser, you send a message to a server, but the server sends it back to their browser. So, when you’re on Putnam Marketing, you click on a map, and the server sends information about the address. The server is like the database of all of the information on websites. When you access a website, you are requesting the server to give you information about it. The internet collects all of these millions and millions of servers sending messages back and forth. Spoiler alert. You have heard of Ai. How is this a news flash to anyone under the age of 75? You read the same articles, watched the same news outlets, and somehow missed the 13,000 articles regarding the Patriot Act? The cliff notes version of the past 20 years for the boomers who missed it. Twenty years ago, the leaders of our country passed the Patriot Act, and you forfeited your right to privacy. They have been data mining your information for two decades. No, Google isn’t listening to your phone; they are running analytics on the most probable outcome of behavior based on past events. The concept of SEO isn’t complex. Marketing is not scary or confusing. The basic premise of marketing is emotion. A great example of how humans are not rational when their feelings are involved in this blog post. People are more likely to purchase when emotionally charged. It isn’t confusing. Marketing is basic propaganda and persuasion that leaders have been using since the beginning of time. Unless you’re giving your credit card number to a guy you’ve never met, or a full-blown hacker, you can go ahead and continue to live your life. And, marketers like us will go ahead a be sure that product placement is right where you’ll see it.
- Search Engine Optimization For Beginners
Hidden behind the simplicity of the word Google lies the key to ranking high on major search engines. SEO has created jobs in Marketing Departments, and entire companies have built their vision and mission statements on mastering SEO. But, what is SEO? The easiest way to explain SEO is to say it is the same as Googling it. It sounds like a simple concept because it is. The internet has grown so fast over the years, and the competition for the best search engine position has created an enormous market. There is an industry for it because many websites fail to provide content that visitors find interesting, website owners don’t know how to do it or don’t have the time. From your own experience, you know that a website that provides engaging, well-written, and regularly updated content makes you stay on or return. Websites with highly engaged visitors are more likely to return, purchase an item, show a friend, or use the material for a project. Set your website apart from those boring, lifeless sites by adding educational material, professional pictures, and a reason to visit. You’ll already be a step above your competition and are more likely to achieve high page rankings through search engine optimization. Therefore, a better understanding of the fundamental elements of Search Engine Optimization is vital for an online business’s success. Your digital marketing strategy starts with your end goal. Do you want people to recognize your brand, create credibility, or drive sales? Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has evolved into a time-consuming puzzle full of acronyms, keywords, and, surprisingly, you’ll be happy to hear; common sense. Let’s break this down into simple terms, and our goal is that by the time you finish reading, you’ll feel as though you have a loose handle on what SEO means. At Putnam Marketing, we hear “What is Search Engine Optimization?” daily, but discussing SEO means understanding how search engines work and why they work will help it make a lot more sense. Search engines provide users with the most relevant and up-to-date information to match the search term entered. Think of how many times a day you hear the phrase “Google It” or “What did Google say?” According to Scoop Whoop, Google processes over 40,000 search queries every second. With the massive number of active users on Google's search engine every day, it isn't a surprise this number is so high. Essentially, this amounts to over 3.5 billion searches per day and a whopping 1.2 trillion searches per year. Sophisticated codes written by programmers known as algorithms allow users to quickly find relevant websites by searching a specific word or a phrase, a keyword. Search engine results are useless to users if the website information doesn’t relate to the search term or if the products are outdated. Consumers don’t have the time or attention to look past the most up-to-date information useful to them. According to Forbes, the first page of Google captures 71% of search traffic clicks and can be as high as 92% in recent years. Second-page results are far from a close second, coming in at below 6% of all website clicks. Updating your website regularly and adding relative content will help you get noticed by search engines. Many tricks can increase page rank; the most effective method is to provide high-quality content consistently. Products, a person, or a place with an easy-to-navigate mobile website is the new normal. Adding (optimizing) pictures, content, white papers, case studies, link building, keyword research, landing pages, social media marketing, anchor text, page speed will also boost traffic and sales. Studies show that over 90% of your business will come directly from search engine results. To ensure that you are correctly targeting your ideal market, be sure that the keywords and phrases you have on your site are the keywords and phrases that your target customers will search for. The more keywords you use in your content, the more likely it is that online visitors will find your site when they (Google It) do some research with those words. Developing a linking strategy (often called backlinking; this is a backlink) as a part of your content marketing effort. Not only does this provide free advertising for your site, but it makes the impression that your site is imperative because of its affiliated links. For each link you have pointed back to you, that is another chance for your potential customer to find you. The more inbound links you have pointing to your site, the higher you rank in the search engines. Another SEO tip is to develop a content strategy. As you know from your own experience, people who search the internet are looking for information. The more information you provide for them and the more helpful it is, the more likely you will make the sale. Writing articles is the most effective way to build content for your site. When writing blog articles to post on your site, make sure that you develop a straightforward means of arranging the content. You can do this by simply adding a new page to your site and include categories. This will allow room for extra articles to be added as you write them and will allow you to build up an archive of articles that will continue to draw online visitors. Be sure to include your archived articles on the Blog page or a location in the menu located as a subfolder under the Blog so that search engines will catalog your online archived posts. If you are diligent with the tips and tricks above, your overall search engine optimization will increase your page rank. To summarize, write high-quality, keyword-rich content and link your site to and from relevant websites. We hope these ideas will help you improve your site’s popularity and drive traffic to your online business. Several tools help in internet marketing, including natural SEO or natural search engine optimization. Not all of them need loads of money, so you don’t have to worry on that front. Some of these tools are readily available and better than many offline business marketing tools. Natural SEO is nothing but natural methods used for marketing against the sponsored or purchasing practices. Organic SEO is primarily of two types, off-page SEO and on-page SEO. The first of the two organic SEO strategies is the on-page organic SEO; it is the essential SEO technique performed on the web page. Here, the website owner needs to do keyword research to optimize the Title Tag, Keywords, Content, and Description, making sure that when the search engine checks the web page, the search engine results page will show that the keywords provided are relevant to the content provided on the web page. The other way search engines work is called off-page SEO and is performed at some other region other than the web page. One of the ways off-page organic SEO works are your inbound links to the web page from pages with similar keywords related to your website’s niche. When the search engines see several such inbound links from various sites in the same place and relevant keywords, they assume that other websites are visiting your webpage as a contender for the particular keywords. The organic SEO methods cost no money, whether it is submitting articles to various directories or blog posts, or even getting links back from other websites, unlike other practices of SEO such as Pay per Click, which is paid traffic coming from a paid search. Paid traffic is only limited to what you pay for. The minute your account is out of money, you’re PPC ads stop, and it contains the traffic, unlike natural SEO that continues to work. Many people are of the wrong notion that just paying for SEO gets them results, and they won’t have to work on optimizing their site. SEO experts believe that paid advertising is just not enough. Just because you have paid for it does not mean that this promotion will take care of your requirements. The main thing is that if you are spending money on paid advertising, you may not have a search-engine-optimized site. The entire purpose of SEO is to find methods of natural SEO that help your site rank high in the search engines.

- Hidden behind the simplicity of the word Google lies the key to ranking high on major search engines
Hidden behind the simplicity of the word Google lies the key to ranking high on major search engines. SEO has created jobs in Marketing departments, and entire companies have built their mission statement on mastering SEO. But, what is SEO? The easiest way to explain SEO is to say it is the same as Googling it. It sounds like a simple concept because it is. The internet has grown so fast over the years, and the competition for the best search engine position has created an enormous market. There is an industry for it because many websites fail to provide content that visitors find interesting, and website owners don’t know how to do it or don’t have the time. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has evolved into a time-consuming puzzle full of acronyms, and keywords, and, surprisingly, you’ll be happy to hear; common sense. In order to improve online customers and client retention, Putnam Marketing empowers organizations to recognize their inherent skills through Brand Archetypes. Search engines provide users with the most relevant and up-to-date information to match the search term entered. Think of how many times a day you hear the phrase “Google It” or “What did Google say?” According to Scoop Whoop, Google processes over 40,000 search queries every second. With the massive number of active users on Google’s search engine every day, it isn’t a surprise this number is so high. Essentially, this amounts to over 3.5 billion searches per day and a whopping 1.2 trillion searches per year. Sophisticated codes written by programmers known as algorithms allow users to quickly find relevant websites by searching a specific word or phrase, a keyword. Adding (optimizing) pictures, content, white papers, case studies, link building, keyword research, landing pages, social media marketing, anchor text, and page speed will also boost traffic and sales. You can do this by simply adding a new page to your site and including categories. Source: “40 Jaw-Dropping Google Stats & Facts (2021 Edition)“. - What SEO Means and What it Doesn’t Mean
The ultimate goal is to help you get more site visitors and ultimately buyers. A Facebook Business Manager in Facebook Marketplace, Facebook Market, Facebook Ads, Facebook Creator Studios, Google Ad managers, Google SEO Agencies, and Search Engines keep the focus on search engine optimization. These creators forget that professional SEO services and the best SEO agencies follow guidelines on what content is; website content is still website content. What this means is they are producing promotional content is designed to cause Google to notice their site. Don’t forget that SEO agencies near you remember that your target audience (your site visitors) always comes first. Therefore, the content produced lately has one goal in mind; to make the content rank come first. The best SEO companies know that all the traffic in the world doesn’t convert visitors into buyers. That's why - SEO services are producing SEO content that keeps the human visitor first. Unfortunately, local SEO Agencies are getting a bad name because it is tedious and repetitive. Most of these pages would never have made it onto a site, except that the site owner wanted to rank higher for a specific keyword. In the interest of salvaging the excellent name of search engine optimization, before it's too late, some SEO Agency guidelines are below. SEO services list provide content that is: Written for the visitor. Unique and purposeful. Natural-sounding - it flows. SEO Agency Content Is Not: Written exclusively with the engines in mind. Mirrored, adjusted, or altered to create new pages by simply changing keyphrases. Stiff, forced, or overly repetitive. Good SEO Experts, Agencies, and Companies provide content that: First, understand who you are writing to; buyers! Attract buyers and sellers. Choose what the focus of the page will be. Create a plan outlining the message you want to convey. Decide how best to communicate that message to your particular target customers. Choose which key phrases will incorporate into the copy. Make sure those keyphrases work well with the page and the planned copy. Incorporate critical phrases as you write (not after you register) to flow naturally with the planned message. The Don'ts for SEO Businesses: Create a plan based solely on how to rank high. Replace *every* instance of a generic term (car) with a keyphrase (red, convertible vehicle). Add pages of copy simply to appease the search engines Rely on useless keyword density ratios and formula Shove keyphrases everywhere possible. (No, it won't get you banned, but it will sound completely ridiculous!) SEO content production is not the process of writing exclusively for search engines. It is the process of writing copy to appeal to your visitors while including elements to help the search engines and your visitors understand what the page is all about. If you remember who truly makes or breaks your site's success (your customers!) and focus on them, you're sure to create SEO content that brings buyers to your website. When we were getting started we needed an SEO quick glance guide to what we were hearing. The team at Putnam Marketing made a quick and convenient list for you to understand industry words when in a pinch. If you think of something we're missing shoot us an email and we'll add it. SEO GLOSSARY Algorithm: A program used by search engines to determine what pages to suggest for a given search query. Alt-text: A description of a graphic, which usually isn’t displayed to the end-user, unless the graphic is undeliverable, or a browser is used that doesn’t display graphics. Alt-text is important because search engines can’t tell one picture from another. Special web browsers for visually challenged people rely on the alt text to make the content of graphics accessible to the users. Analytics: A program that assists in gathering and analyzing data about website usage. Google Analytics is a feature-rich, popular, free analytics program. Anchor text: The user-visible text of a link. Search engines use anchor text to indicate the relevancy of the referring site and of the link to the content on the landing page. Ideally, all three will share some keywords in common. Authority (trust, link juice, Google juice): The amount of trust that a site is credited with for a particular search query. Authority/trust is derived from related incoming links from other trusted sites. Authority site: A website that has many incoming links from other related experts/hub sites. Because of this simultaneous citation from trusted hubs an authority site usually has high trust, page rank, and search results placement. Wikipedia is an example of an authority site. Backlink (inlink, incoming link): Any link to a page or site from any other page or site. Black hat: Search engine optimization tactics that are counter to best practices such as the Google Webmaster Guidelines. Blog: A blog is a website that presents content relevant to business/personal goal in a more or less chronological series. Content may or may not be time-sensitive. Most blogs use a Content Management System such as WordPress rather than individually crafted Webpages. Because of this, the Blogger can choose to concentrate on content creation instead of arcane code. Cloak: The practice of delivering different content to the search engine spider than that seen by the human users. This Black Hat tactic is frowned upon by the search engines and carries a virtual death penalty of the site and domain being banned from the search engine results. Comment spam: A term referencing a broad category of spambot or spammer postings which abuse web-based forms to post unsolicited advertisements as comments on forums, blogs, wikis and online guestbooks. Content Management System (CMS): Programs such as WordPress, which separate most of the mundane Webmaster tasks from content creation so that a publisher can be effective without acquiring or even understanding sophisticated coding skills if they so choose. Content (text, copy): The part of a web page that has rich verbiage and adds value to the end user. Advertising, navigation, branding, and boilerplate are not usually considered to be content. Crawler (bot, spider): A program that moves through the world wide web or a website by way of the link structure to gather data. Directory: A site devoted to directory pages. The Yahoo directory is an example. Doorway (gateway): A web page that is designed specifically to attract traffic from a search engine. Doorway pages have acquired something of a bad reputation due to the frequent use (and abuse) of doorways in spamming the search engines.A doorway page that redirects users (but not spiders) to another site or page is implementing cloaking. Duplicate content: Content that is similar or identical to that found on another website or page. A site may not be penalized for serving duplicate content but it will receive little if any Trust from the search engines compared to the content that the SE considers to be the original. Gateway page (doorway page): See above. A web page that is designed to attract traffic from a search engine and then redirects it to another site or page. A doorway page is not exactly the same as cloaking but the effect is the same in that users and search engines are served different content. Googlebot: Google’s bot/spider program. A bot is arguably the most important part of SEO: If your site can't be found, how will you increase traffic? While designing a blog, ask yourself this: Can a bot crawl through your website, and not just hit the first page? HTML (HyperText Markup Language) directives or “markup” are used to add formatting and web functionality to plain text for use on the internet. HTML is the mother tongue of the search engines, and should generally be strictly and exclusively adhered to on web pages. Indexed Pages: The pages on a site that have been indexed. Keyword - key phrase: The word or phrase that a user enters into a search engine. Think "what is SEO?" SEM includes things such as search engine optimization, paid listings, and other search-engine related services and functions that will increase exposure and traffic to your Website. SEO: Short for search engine optimization, the process of increasing the number of visitors to a Web site by achieving a high rank in the search results of a search engine. The higher a Web site ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that users will visit the site. SERP Search Engine Results Page Site map: A page or structured group of pages that link to every user accessible page on a website, and hopefully improves site usability by clarifying the data structure of the site for the users. An XML sitemap is often kept in the root directory of a site just to help search engine spiders to find all of the site pages. Spamdexing: Spamdexing or search engine spamming is the practice of deceptively modifying web pages to increase the chance of them being placed close to the beginning of search engine results, or to influence the category to which the page is assigned in a dishonest manner. - Wikipedia White hat: SEO techniques, which conform to best practice guidelines, and do not attempt to unscrupulously “game” or manipulate SERPs. #bloggingtips #PutnamMarketingBlog #SEO #content #seoglossary #seokeywords
